Biography
Prof. Peng is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Prior to joining ISE, he was a Research Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University, working closely with Prof. Jianliang Xu, and was the Blockchain Technical Director at SF Technology.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University under the supervision of Prof. Bin Xiao, the M.Phil. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China, and the B.Eng. degree in Communication Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University. He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University, supervised by Prof. Yuanyuan Yang.
His primary research interests focus on Data-driven Industrial Intelligence, including Blockchain and Web3, Trustworthy Machine Learning, Autonomous Systems, Data Security and Privacy. He has published a series of papers in prestigious journals and conferences, such as IEEE TKDE/TMC/ToN/TPDS/TDSC/TIFS, ACM SIGMOD/CCS, IEEE ICDE/INFOCOM/IROS, etc.
He was ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2024.
